This week’s #WalmerianWoman is Isabel Recamal, Front-end Developer, who reflects on her work as a leader at Walmeric and the path that has led her to where she is now. Don’t miss it!
1. What is the biggest challenge you have faced as a leader and how did you overcome it?
Currently my biggest challenge is to learn how to manage a team of people, where I know very well the work of each member and that together we can be in harmony and improve the quality of our service on a daily basis. As we continue to work together, I am sure we will overcome these challenges.
2. How would you describe the impact your role has on the company and the work team?
I consider that my role has a positive impact on the company and the team. I believe they go hand in hand, since a team that is well and knowledgeable contributes to improve the efficiency of the team and this efficiency in turn allows to carry out projects that benefit the company and its customers.
3. What is your long-term vision for your career in the company?
At Walmeric I have been changing positions, I started as a front-end programmer in the Operations department, when the innovative Dastia project came out I left operations and now I am back in operations with the position of head of the front-end technical team. In the future I would like to occupy a position where I can innovate, learn and grow both professionally and personally.
4. What advice would you give to other women aspiring to leadership positions in the company?
That everything can be achieved, that they trust in themselves, that they value their work and their abilities. In Walmeric they will always have people to help them and accompany them on their way.
