This week’s #WalmerianWoman is Tamara García, Customer Success Manager, who reflects on her career at Walmeric. Don’t miss her!

1. What is the biggest challenge you have faced as a leader and how did you overcome it?

My biggest challenge has been to enter an industry and work in a position that has nothing to do with what I had studied or what I had previously done in another country and even in a different language.

2. How would you describe the impact your role has on the company and the team?

Having changed positions and departments has allowed me to have a more “global” vision of the needs of each of them and to develop a greater adaptability to changes. I think that, in this sense, this helps me not to be afraid to participate in tasks or projects in other areas even if this implies a lack of knowledge a priori. I am convinced that to throw caution to the wind and do things that we are afraid of is necessary to grow personally and professionally.

3. What is your long-term vision for your career in the company?

In the long term I know that there will be new opportunities and transversal growth that will allow us to have a 360º vision of what we do, opening up to European markets to continue communicating in other languages.

4. What advice would you give to other women aspiring to leadership positions in the company?

Trust in their abilities and put aside insecurity, fear of the unknown and any doubts that may arise, always with humility and learning from the team around you, no matter the position.
